Mississippi River – November 2015
Starting a collection of found objects from the batture with the help of friends. Between land and water are treasures of fresh and salty wildlife in south Louisiana: Eagle feathers, garfish scales, handwritten notes, and sticks carved by beavers. In this arrangement, nature becomes culture. Having a Boas moment and thinking I might need a wood and glass cabinet to turn these treasures into artifacts.
