Lake Pontchartrain – August 2015
August. Hottest part of the day in the hottest part of the year. In the shallow waters of Lake Pontchartrain learning how to throw the perfect circle. Preceded by a journey to Yscloskey and Delacroix where families waited with baited lines for hungry crabs and sunburnt men fished for sharks and swaped stories about uncountable grandchildren and fishing trips. Mud in toes, legs in water, face behind straw hat. Summer in the field.
